Hello Everyone I hope you are all doing ok I know I should appreciate the hot weather as we in the UK don't see a lot of sun but its too hot for me I love Autumn and the heat has made my poor little Blade sick he is lying on the sofa bless him I just wish there was something I could do but we just have to starve him not that he wants to eat anything anyway but the good thing is that he is drinking lots of cold icy water.
Today I have made my Dads Fathers day card using a great stamp set from Kanban I stamped the main image using Indigo blue dye based ink and then I stamped the bird to make it look like he is part of the image I stamped the bird twice to layer him up.I dragged the ink out using water and a paint brush for the shading detail. The anchor and compass also came from the same stamp set.For the bottom of the card I have torn some Kraft paper to make it look like sand and distressed the edges with Antique Linen Distress ink.I cut out some shells from an old paper pack I had to add to the sand and for added detail I mixed three different green flowersoft colours together for the look of moss from the see also for the grass around the lighthouse.I stamped the anchor ,attached some rope to make it look like it has been anchored into the sand. For the background I used Frost watermark ink and stamped the anchor all over the blue papers randomly to create my own paper.
I hope you like it.
