New Stamps and 1st Gold Leaf Attempt

Evening everyone I know I must have the bloggers bug as this is my second post this evening.I made this bookmark to enter into a challenge but more importantly to give to a new friend of mine.She will probably see it on here but she Wont think its for her so sorry I can't reveal who this actually belongs to yet but all will be revealled once she recieves it.

Well on Saturday I recieved my candy prize from Sweetpea stamps and I love it so thankyou so much Lynette I am so pleased with them.It even came with the beautiful quote which I have stamped and embossed in gold on the back of the bookmark.

I started by stamping the images onto acetate,run them through an xyron and then gently laying a sheet of gold leaf over the top i used a paint brush to smooth it out layered them onto black and gold card and glued to my bookmark.On the back aswell as the quote I also got a swirl stamp and went around the edges with a clear ink and then embossed with gold poweder.

I hope my friend will like it as its the first time I have tried this technique but I think it looks ok.

Purple Bunny Challenge Birthday Card

Evening to all my blogger friends and guests,

I thought I would share my latest card with you all which I am entering into some challenges.A couple of the challenges are asking for a mono theme which I find quite challenging but I still wanted to try anyway and this is how the end result turned out.

The stamp is from Sugar Nellies home grown range which i think is super cute,papers are from the Daisy and Dandilion pack,I used a Martha Stewart punch,Nesties,Paper roses and a sizzix corner die.I added fake stitching to the inner circle around the image and to the 2 corners.
